Here before uploading the video first switch the video privacy settings from public to private. Next click on the big upload button and select the video which you want to share privately.
In order to share a private video you need to go to youtube studio in a web browser you cant do this using the mobile app and choose to share the video with specific users via their email.
How to share a private youtube video in youtube studio.
To upload and share private videos follow these steps.
Add email addresses of the contacts that you want to share the video with and click on ok.
This will allow you to share with your youtube friends only.
Under select files to upload you will see public click on that and two more options will appear.
Once the user e mail addresses have been added click the blue button save and go back to youtube studio.
Instead of generating a limited access url you can also choose private share with youtube users.
This is because the recipients have to be signed into google in order to view the private video shared with them via youtube studio.
Your contacts will receive an email from youtube with a link to your private video.
On this screen click on the share button listed under video privacy settings.
Next select the file to upload or drag and drop video files.
Next you will see a share with others popup screen where you can add the email addresses of the recipients that you want to share the private video with.
In the top right corner click upload.
Select private share with.
